WESLEY WINGS was started in the fall of 2009 with the assistance of John's Creek UMC of Alpharetta as a means to enhance our service and calling for the work of the Lord. The guiding priciples are Worship; Invite others to experience Christ; Nurture one another and assimilate each person into the life of Christ; Grow to develop a close relationship to God; Serve the needs of our world, nation, and local community.

Our Values

A Creed to Live By

The Invite Team is part of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist WINGS program (Worship, Invite, Nurture, Grow and Serve). The mission of the Invite Team is to invite and welcome newcomers to join us in worship and encourage them to participate in the fellowship and spiritual life of the church. We consider it a privilege to deliver a jar of honey to our first time visitors if they have provided their address in the guest book. It is just one small way of welcoming them and letting them know we appreciate their visit. A brochure is also provided with additional church information. We invite prayerful support and suggestions as to how this team can reach out and welcome others as we seek to serve Christ.

We at Wesley Chapel follow the Christian doctrine of the Trinity which teaches the unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead. The doctrine states that God is the Triune God, existing as three persons, but one being. We invite all to join us as we worship this Triune God who for more than 2000 years has transformed the course of the world.

We nurture our congregation and our community by the various organizations and ministries we have set up for our WINGS initiative to uphold the values we have established (please click on the Our Values button).

The mission of the Serve Team is to provide opportunities to serve God's people in need. Our goal is to glorify God and heed His call to "love one another" and to "be blessed through giving". (John 13:34 and Acts 20:35)

We do this by sharing Christ's love and compassion with others regardless of race, religion or creed and by putting our faith into action by serving those who are homeless, impoverished and in need.

At Wesley Chapel we bring one's person closer to God through Jesus Christ: Worship, study, prayer, participation in the life of the faith body, and service to others. As you dig into this website, you will see we are committed to carry these out in many different ways.
