THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

September 5, 2010

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”                                                   Isaiah 40: 30 - 31

The  flowers are placed in the sanctuary today by Bob and Nita Tolar and  are given to the glory of God in loving memory of Gary Tolar's 29th birthday.

On Saturday morning, September 11, we will be remembering those who lost their lives nine years ago. There will be a special Prayer Time in the Sanctuary with light refreshments to follow the service in the Christian Education Building. Invite your friends and neighbors.

September 25 is going to be Collinswood Fun Day 2010. The residents of Aldersgate Homes are hosting a day of fun which will involve cooking out, games, fishing, boating, and lake activities and we need your help. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex with the needs of the day. These residents will need a little help baiting hooks, getting in and out of boats, putting on life vests. Pastor Jim has already signed up to grill hamburgers. Where will you volunteer?
